I am a Professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville and the Assistant Director for the Academy for Teaching and Learning. I earned my Masters in English from the University of North Florida, and I earned my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Educational Technology from the University of Florida. I teach composition and literature at FSCJ, and I teach faculty professional development courses, focusing mainly on instructional technologies and research. My dissertation examined the use of a collaborative technology in supporting students' use of peer review in online composition courses. My research interests include computer supported collaborative learning, mobile learning in formal and informal learning environments, and student motivation and self-regulation. I am also beginning to collect research on the uses of automated writing assessment as a tool to support college students' writing at various levels. Use the tabs above to see some of my research, my technology projects, and for information on the courses I teach and resources I use.
